Hoosiers have been reporting phone calls impersonating utility companies. Posing as Indiana Michigan Power, scammers warn customers about false late bills in an attempt to obtain credit card numbers or other personal information. Many scammers claim services will be shut off or extra fees will be taken out, a scare tactic that can easily convince recipients.
