‘Trappings of wealth’ led to arrest of Dublin man in his 20s over PUP scam in which €50,000 was stolen

A suspect who was being quizzed by gardaí about a massive Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP) scam, amounting to almost €50,000, has been released without charge.

he man in his late 20s was arrested on Wednesday as part of a major operation mounted in relation to the scam, which involved the personal details of employees who worked in a north Dublin business.
