An international gang of fraudsters has been running a cryptocurrency scam from Dublin, generating tens of millions for its operators, who are thought to be eastern European criminals.
BeOnWise, which claimed to be based at EastPoint Business Park, posed as a cryptocurrency trading platform offering investors high yields. It was incorporated as a company in Dublin last December using bogus aliases and addresses.
The Sunday Times has established that Ronan Patrick O’Sullivan and Michael Reeves, named as director and secretary of the company, do not exist.
