Theft by deception, Gerald Avenue: On Oct. 3, a Gerald Avenue woman called police after realizing she was the victim of fraud.

An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said she was being scammed by an online wedding photography site.

There are no suspects. Police are investigating. Assault, Greenwood Drive: On Oct. 3, police were dispatched to a Greenwood Drive home regarding a disturbance.

An arriving officer learned a female in the home was assaulted by a Cleveland man. He was arrested for assault.

Attempted aggravated robbery, Ridge Road: On Oct. 3, police were dispatched to a hit-skip incident on Ridge Road.

While talking to one of the parties, the Parma man attempted to take an officer’s service weapon.

He was arrested and charged with attempted aggravated robbery.

Theft, W. Ridgewood Drive: On Oct. 3, a Dick’s Sporting Goods employee called police after observing two women steal items from the W. Ridgewood Drive store.

An arriving officer was unable to locate the suspects. Police are investigating.

Drug abuse, Farnsworth Drive: During an Oct. 1 traffic stop of a Ford Taurus for a moving violation, the officer discovered the Parma driver, 18, was in possession of suspected felony drugs.

He was arrested for drug abuse.

Theft, Hampstead Avenue: On Oct. 1, a Hampstead Avenue resident called police after discovering a package was not only delivered to his home but later stolen.

There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
