Jennifer Songer, former policy counsel at the US Securities and Exchange Commission, has joined Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison as counsel, the law firm said Wednesday.
Songer joins the private funds group of the Paul Weiss corporate department in Washington, D.C., according to the firm. She will focus on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters for global investment firms, said the firm.
She previously served as the branch chief for private funds in the SEC’s Division of Investment Management’s investment adviser regulation office, according to the firm.
