The victim was scammed and is out $40,000.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers in North Grenville are investigating a ‘romance scam’ incident where the victim was scammed out of $40,000.
OPP said the gift cards used looked real and are warning people to be careful with who they communicate with online.
