NAB customer loses whole month’s pay in scam

A woman who lost her entire month’s pay after her details were stolen and used to pay for services at a Sydney brothel has demanded answers. 

Chelsea Paton, 36, lost almost $5,000 after her National Bank of Australia (NAB) details were used 25 times at a Sydney brothel last November. 

Ms Paton had initially thought she hadn’t been paid or that her pay was late before she discovering with horror her entire month’s salary had been wiped. 

The money had been spent at the Pink Lady Private Hotel, a brothel in Drummoyne in the city’s Inner West during the early hours of November 10. 

Each of the 25 transactions amounted to about $193.14, news.com.au reports with the first at 4:07am and the rest coming two to three minutes apart.

Horrified, Ms Paton rang the bank and was told her card had been put on a Samsung phone on November 4 – just six days before her precious dollars were spent.
