Mulayam Singh Yadav Health Live Updates: Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav continues to be in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Medanta hospital in Gurugram and his condition remains critical, the hospital said on Friday. He is being administered life-saving drugs, it said in a health bulletin.

“Mulayam Singh ji is still critical and on life-saving drugs. He is being treated in the ICU (of) Medanta hospital, Gurugram, by a comprehensive team of specialists,” the hospital said.

The bulletin was also shared by the Samajwadi Party’s official handle on Twitter. Yadav, 82, was admitted to the hospital on Sunday.

World food prices fall for sixth straight month: UN

World food prices have fallen for a sixth month in a row in September, UN data showed Friday, as they continued to decline since a record reached following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.The Food and Agriculture Organization said its price index, which tracks the monthly change in international prices of a basket of food commodities, averaged 136.3 points in September, a 1.1 percent drop from August.

India office absorption 30.3 million sq ft in January-September, up 107% on year

India’s office property market has recorded 107% on year jump in net absorption at 30.3 million sq ft in the first nine months of 2022 backed by robust supply completions with healthy pre-commitments, showed a JLL India report. Net absorption across the top seven property markets of the country rose 68.5% on-year to 9.86 million sq ft during the quarter ended June. On a sequential basis too, the leasing performance saw 11% growth.

The Reserve Bank of India has today released a Concept Note on Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) for India.

The purpose behind the issue of this Concept Note is to create awareness about CBDCs in general and the planned features of the Digital Rupee (e₹), in particular. It explains the objectives, choices, benefits, and risks of issuing a CBDC in India. The Note also seeks to explain Reserve Bank’s approach towards introduction of the CBDC.
