DUI CHARGE
Thomas Ferren, 39, of 2423 N. Kennicott Dr., Arlington Heights, was charged Feb. 6 with driving under the influence of alcohol. According to police, officers at approximately 12:45 a.m. responded to Euclid Avenue and Hemlock Avenue for a single-vehicle accident. Officers reportedly observed a silver 2007 Mazda sedan in the parkway on the southside of Euclid Avenue, noting it appeared the vehicle had spun around on the parkway. Police said there was no damage to the vehicle and no damage to any private property. During questioning, officers reported detecting a strong odor of an alcohol-based beverage coming from his breath, and his eyes were bloodshot and glassy. He failed standardized field sobriety tests and refused to perform a breath test, police said. He was charged a short time later and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
LICENSE CHARGE
Dejah King, 22, of 1994 W. Algonquin Rd., Mount Prospect, was charged Feb. 14 with driving without a valid license. According to police, officers at 8:54 a.m. were on routine patrol near Elmhurst and Golf roads when they observed a dark sedan traveling 55 mph in a 35 mph zone.
