MONEY Saving Expert Martin Lewis looked fuming as he appeared on This Morning today.
The ITV star, 50, issued a hard-hitting warning after a pensioner on a low-income said she hoped to invest in a cryptocurrency service that used his face.
A viewer called Monique asked: “I need money fast – should I look into Bitcoin? I’m a 76-year-old widow living on an annual income of under £15,000.
“I’m currently finding it very difficult to make ends meet and am I using my savings to supplement my income. I need some serious money quickly.”
Martin quickly realised she had seen one of the ads for “scam” get-rich-quick services bearing his face that appear on social media.
The This Morning consumer champion insisted angrily: “No no no no no no no no no. Look, I’ve just realised, I was wondering where the question was going and right at the end I realised.


“It is one of those scams that use my face to advertise it. It is a scam, it is nothing to do with Bitcoin. It’s not an investment, it’s nothing to do with cryptocurrency.
“It is a scam – someone trying to steal your money. I don’t need to say any more because that should be enough.”
He added: “Just generally, you don’t do investing by some quick advert that’s popped up on social media. That’s not how you invest.
