Like the first phase, movement of vehicles on some key roads leading to Ijtema venue in Tongi will remain suspended tomorrow due to the Akheri Munajat (final prayers) of the second phase of the Biswa Ijtema.
Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) has issued some directives regarding traffic movement to reduce suffering of devotees.
Briefing reporters at police control room set up at the Ijtema venue today, GMP Commissioner Mollah Nazrul Islam said movement of vehicles will remain suspended from 6:00am till the Akheri Munajat from Tongi to Bhogra Bypass on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, Kamarpara bridge to Monno Ceramic Gate, Abdullahpur to Baipail on Ashulia road.
He requested vehicles bound to Dhaka and Mymensingh to use the Bhogra to 300 feet bypass road.
The second phase of Bishwa Ijtema started yesterday morning and will end through the Akheri Munajat tomorrow.
