Haverford police investigations for the week of Jan., 18-24

Jan. 18

Retail theft: At the Giant store in the 100 block of West Township Line Road, an unknown male and female stole $240 in groceries.

Fraud: In the 100 block of Fairlamb Avenue, a resident reported that someone gained access to his AT&T account and purchased an iPad.

Identity theft: In the first block of West Langhorne Avenue, a resident reported that someone used the resident’s identity to open a Verizon account.

Jan. 19

Theft: In the 400 block of West Langhorne Avenue. a resident reported multiple household items missing from a locked storage area of a rental property.

Forgery: In the first block of East Clearfield Road, a resident reported that three fraudulent checks were cashed from his account.

Drug possession: A 47-year-old woman from the 4000 block of Haverford Avenue, Philadelphia, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia at the Kohl’s in the 200 block of West Chester Pike.

Jan. 20

Retail theft: At the Acme in the 1300 block of West Chester Pike, a 24-year-old man from the 6900 block of Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, was cited for retail theft of $26 worth of cigarettes.

Theft from vehicle: At the Haverford YMCA in the 800 block of North Eagle Road, a vehicle was entered and two credit cards were stolen. Multiple unauthorized purchases were made with the credit cards.
