A Facebook account mimicking Kenya’s First Lady Rachel Ruto, and promoting loans is a HOAX.
The Facebook account copies the name and images of the Kenyan First Lady and contains posts promoting grants dubbed “Inua Jamii Loans”.

A telephone number is provided through which users can reach the secretary to obtain the funds, which include business loans, personal loans, school fees and emergency loans.
The post also contains an image of the First Lady with President William Ruto at State House.
Inua Jamii is a programme under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection that offers government financial support to the most vulnerable Kenyans, such as orphans, older persons and persons with severe disabilities.
