From scam awareness to sunflower planting – there’s plenty going on at Lyme Regis Library!

FROM learning to be scam aware to planting sunflowers, there is always lots going on at Lyme Regis Library. 

Here’s details of the library’s latest upcoming events:

Be Scam Aware – Monday, April 25, 2.30pm – 3.30pm

A free session for people to find out about all kinds of scams, including post, telephones, email, and text scams; what to look for; how they work and how to protect yourself, your family, and friends.  

It is to be led by Andy, the library Digital Champion, who is fully trained and experienced. It is going to be an informative session with lots of opportunity to ask questions. 

Open to all, including non-library members, and booking is essential. Contact the library during opening hours 01297 443151 to find out more and book a place.

Library manager Jo said: “As scams become more prevalent and sophisticated, we wanted to offer a helpful session to enable people to feel more confident identifying possible scams and know what to do if they are concerned or suspicious. Andy will provide clear and helpful tips; answering questions people may have.” 

Plant a sunflower at the Library – Saturday, May 7 11am – 12.30pm

Lyme Regis Library with Turn Lyme Green are offering children the opportunity to plant their own sunflower in the library’s garden. 

Turn Lyme Green volunteers are growing over 30 sunflowers from seed, that will be ready to plant on the day.
