Mr Alton had been contacted on social media. He was told just to start off with $5000. After downloading the app, he deposited $5000 in bitcoin. Few days later he had seen the massive profits in such a sort time. The scammer persuaded him to move his savings into crypto and send to the trading account.
Few weeks later after deposting his savings. Mr Alton tried to withdraw some of his profits. He was unabled to and tried to contact customer service. This is when his account was frozen and could no longer get in contact with the scammers.

They were able to recovery the 2.4 million in bitcoin for Mr. Alton. A lot of very educated people have been scammed out crypto through online trading scams. Some of them don’t report the scam for reasons such as the amount lost being negligible, they thinking it would not change anything, wanting to forget it ever happened, feeling embarassed to admit they were scammed, and not knowing which authority to report to.
