ELLSWORTH — People appearing or lingering where they were not wanted caused city officers to issue warnings against trespassing to two individuals and prepare one for a third person in recent days.
A woman who showed up at a local home multiple times was issued a no-trespass warning on Jan. 14. So was a man who refused to leave a local motel on Jan. 13.
On Jan. 14, a local business reported disorderly conduct from a person there. The individual left before officers arrived and is subject to a pending no-trespass notice from police.
Car sleeper
Police responded to a local business Jan. 13 at the request of an employee who found an unknown woman sleeping in the passenger seat of the employee’s car. The woman was intoxicated and had mistakenly entered the wrong car. She called a friend for a ride home.
Fraud
Police are investigating a Jan. 14 report of check forgery. Officers also documented an attempted credit card scam on Jan. 14.
Well-being check
Officers on Jan. 14 checked on a man in the parking lot of a local business who reportedly could have taken a large dose of drugs. He was fine and left the parking lot.
Domestic calls
Police responded to a local home on Jan. 15 over a domestic disturbance. The people involved separated for the night.
Harassment
Police issued a cease harassment notice to a resident of a city apartment complex after receiving a complaint on Jan. 14.
