British Army’s YouTube and Twitter accounts were hacked by an unknown group of cybercriminals.

The British Army’s YouTube and Twitter accounts were hacked by cybercriminals! The YouTube account of the British army was flooded with videos on cryptocurrencies with the images of Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk. At the same time, the Twitter feed itself appeared to have retweeted posts related to NFT. The Guardian report revealed that both the accounts of YouTube and Twitter were simultaneously used by hackers to promote two different cryptocurrency scams.

The hacked Twitter account of the British Army’s Twitter name changed to “BAPESCAN” instead of British Army. Even the profile picture got updated to an image of what looked like a cartoon monkey in face paint. Its description reads, “Follow us for news and information on deployments, training exercises, ceremonial duties & regimental events. Recruiting @armyjobs” was altered by the hackers. During the breach of the Twitter account, hackers changed its description to: “#1 metavesto clan on the ETH chain with multi-billion dollar experience. Powered by @chaintchlabs,” The Guardian reported.
