Beware! This WhatsApp scam can empty your bank account in minutes

WhatsApp owned by Meta has been a primary channel of communication in the present day scenario. It will not be wrong to say that WhatsApp has almost replaced the functions of messaging applications on your smartphone. However, as people have more and more relied on WhatsApp, the platform has been targeted by scammers/ fraudsters to lure people into falling in scams or online frauds. Recently, a WhatsApp scam has been making rounds and it can empty your bank account if you don’t take proper steps.

The WhatsApp scam starts with a message from an unknown number. The message notification from a Non-Indian mobile number (+92 306 0373744) includes a poster image featuring Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) and Amitabh Bachchan. The poster shows that the user has won a lottery of Rs 25 lakh and asks the user to call 07666533352 and inform about the same. The message is accompanied by an audio message that explains the process of getting the money by transferring it to the bank account.

The Scammers/ fraudsters trick the user and dupe their hard-earned money by asking them for details about their bank accounts. Well if you get a similar kind of message on your smartphone, do not reply, as it will not lead to any financial gain.
