Murray Mallee Police are issuing a reminder to the public to be on the lookout for any scams or criminals trying to take advantage of people in areas affected by flooding.
Police have recently been made aware of an online scam offering cheap rooms at a hotel in the Riverland area, to entice people to visit and stay in the region to help support local businesses that may have been affected by the floods.
Members of the public are reminded that they should only deal with reputable businesses directly, and report any potential scams to the ReportCyber website at www.cyber.gov.au
