- In honor of Black History Month, Visit Concord has some information about Thurgood Marshall Regional Park, home of the Port Chicago 50. “On June 1, 2021, [the park] was officially named after the first African American U.S. Supreme Court Justice and the group of 50 Black sailors he advocated for as a civil rights attorney for the NAACP.” Read more about it in the blog entry here.
