🌱 Beware! Scam Test Sites + RB Projects + Prepare For Disasters

Get on up, Rancho Bernardo-4s Ranch! It’s Friday, so let’s get you started with everything you need to know going on today in town.

First, today’s weather:

Times of clouds and sun. High: 64, Low: 48.

Here are the top stories today in Rancho Bernardo-4s Ranch:

  1. Think you have COVID-19? San Diego County health officials urge you NOT to go to hospital emergency rooms unless you are experiencing severe symptoms that need emergency care. If you have no symptoms, have mild illness or have not been exposed to someone who has tested positive, go to a neighborhood pharmacy, or to a county network of no cost sites. Avoid fake COVID-19 testing scams from “pop up” sites that are offering “free” COVID-19 testing. Your identity may be stolen. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link. 2. They are a trinity of service groups working to benefit Rancho Bernardo. Led by Robin Kaufman, the RB Community Council (RBCC), the RB Planning Board (RBPB), and the RB Community Recreation Group (RBCRG) have numerous plans for RB in 2022. Working on Median upgrades, a Safety Fair, Chalk It Up, an Earth Day Fair, and more, the RBCC works to beautify, educate, and assist residents in RB. The RBPB reviews regulations (such as the new marijuana outlet regulations being proposed by the city and the city’s zoning code updates). They also review policies on placement of housing, construction of accessory dwelling units, and they review how planning boards function citywide. The RBCRG works to obtain funds for field maintenance, gym floor resurfacing, outdoor basketball court lining, which is expected to be completed in 2022. 3. We don’t know when a disaster may strike. From wildfires, to earthquakes, to flooding, such disasters can happen at any time, and we need to be prepared. The local Red Cross has an Emergency Preparedness Guide that can help you to make a plan, to create a kit, and to be informed. To learn more: Click into parenthesis, then click the link.
