Here are the top three stories today in Mooresville:
- Creating a place for food to grow and people to learn, the Earnhardt family and The Dale Jr. Foundation, combined with longtime partner Unilever, has reportedly established Mimi’s Garden in honor of Brenda Jackson (also known as Mimi), who is the mother of both Kelley Earnhardt Miller and Dale Earnhardt Jr., who passed away in 2019 following a battle with cancer. The 14,000 square foot garden, located at FeedNC’s new facility, 2456 Charlotte Highway, will grow local produce which will be distributed to those in need. In addition, the garden will be used as a way to educate the community about the importance of respecting the land and growing food in a sustainable way.
