Multiple Scams Reported In Arlington

Arlington police made multiple arrests and shared several warnings in recent days after a series of scams impacting residents. One incident earlier this month saw three men arrested after police said they targeted an elderly man with a home improvement scam. Police announced an arrest after another similar but separate scam this week targeting another Arlington resident. On Thursday, police then shared a warning about a phone spoofing scam said to be targeting some in town.

Snow Bookends Week

A drawn-out weather event on Sunday and Monday dropped a few inches of snow across parts of the Greater Boston region. While snow totals were higher in other areas of Massachusetts, local bad weather still caused problems, including a series of car crashes in Brookline. More snow fell on Thursday and Friday, causing some school delays and additional commuting headaches.
