It was recently discovered that a woman applied for a job via a social media platform and lost about Rs 5 lakh from her bank. There were also reports of a man losing Rs 44,782 in a WhatApp scam while he was trying to order an item online. A man also lost about 1 lakh in an online fraud when he was trying to renew his Netflix subscription. But, bank and OTP fraud are the most common. A 29-year-old man was duped of more than Rs 22,000 in an online fraud.
