You have probably heard a few jokes about the apparent invincibility of Jack Bauer, the main protagonist from the Fox classic action-drama series, 24. “Jack Bauer once caught a cold… it was never seen again,” one of those popular gags goes. Another says: “What were the Black Eyed Peas called before they met Jack Bauer?… Peas.”
It all alludes to the indomitable nature expressed by the character on the show, as depicted by Kiefer Sutherland. The actor is the first-born son of fellow Hollywood star Donald Sutherland, who was actually once touted to star alongside him on 24. He also has a twin sister called Rachel, who is also an actor and producer.
In real life, Kiefer Sutherland is not quite as aggressive and frightening as Jack Bauer is. Apart from the odd, inevitable feud that almost any actor is bound to have, the London-born Canadian star has a reputation for being a great guy to work with, with some of his past colleagues describing him as “generous,” “kind,” and “professional.”
