Hyderabad, Oct.26 (NSS): The founder president of YSRTP YS Sharmila today wrote an open letter to the congress party leader Rahul Gandhi and urged him to raise the issue of the scam committed in the construction of Kaleswaram lift irrigation project .
She termed the scam as one of the biggest scams of the country and alleged that more than ₹70,000 crores were embezzled in the name of the construction of the project by CM KCR led state government. She urged Rahul to raise the issue before the people and media of Telangana state and expose the state government. She told that kaleswaram project as originally designed as Dr. BR Ambedkar Pranahita Chevella project by her father and former CM of undivided Andhra Pravesh state YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
She said that the project was started with an outlay of ₹38000 crores in order to help the farmers of the Telangana state . (NSS)
