On Aug. 20 at 1:01 a.m. an officer stopped a driver for a traffic violation. After speaking with the driver, the officer suspected she had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and the 30-year-old North Olmsted resident was arrested.

On Aug. 19 at 9:55 p.m. a resident reported a crash and one of the drivers left the scene. Officers found the car disabled a few hundred feet east on Lake Rd. While speaking with the driver, officers suspected the driver had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered, and the 22-year-old Lakewood resident was arrested. A loaded handgun was also found in the car. The other driver, a 73-year-old North Royalton resident, was at fault and was cited.
Scam, Winsor Drive
On Aug. 16 at 8:51 p.m. a resident reported he had fallen victim to a scam. He received a call from someone claiming to be a Walmart representative, and that someone had purchased a computer for $2,500 on his credit card. Since he did not purchase a computer, the caller gave the resident another number to call to correct the situation. The resident was told to purchase $4,000 in gift cards, and give the caller the numbers off the back. They would then remove the cost of the computer from his account and reimburse him the $4,000.
