Mumbai: Five persons, including a 21-year-old woman, have been arrested in connection with a fake loan app scam. Residents of Vasai-Virar, they operated from their homes. Deepak Mishra (27) was the brain behind the ‘Rupee Tiger’ app. The cyber crime police of Mira Bhayander commissionerate made the arrests after a Bhayander resident became a victim of the app after taking a loan. He approached Bhayander police after his morphed pictures were circulated to his phone contacts. tnn
