Scams: The More Awareness the Better! Scam Tips and Advice

Scams can affect everyone! It is not only the gullible and overly trusting people, but also their extended network — relatives, friends, and more. Everyone is a target.

We all need information and advice on this subject and there can never be too much advice on scams. It is important to remember that we all need to be extremely wary online, and with unexpected phone calls, or visitors these days.

I have been trying to write this story for some time as a warning to people, that unfortunately you cannot always believe what you see. The saying goes:

‘If it seems too good to be true, then most likely it is… too good to be true.’

This week I have seen some Writers on Medium also advising of themselves being scammed, with scammers using their images and acting as them (another person) and promoting or saying things that the real person has not said. Many famous people have also stated this to have happened to them, with promotions for products they do not endorse, like Dr. Phil, Dr Oz and many more. This can be a dangerous game, so again I would like to say do not trust and believe everything you see or hear! However, at some stage we do have to believe some people and here I am trying to help you, hopefully you trust me with the information I am sharing to help you avoid scams.
