An alleged 22-year-old Muskaan Bawa who has apparently been accepted to the prestigious Harvard University to complete her Master’s Degree has caused outrage online. In a video posted online, Muskaan says how she has a single mother and she is the youngest Indian accepted into Harvard. A claim that we have not been able to verify.

However, she mentions how the fees of this course are 23 lakhs – which is quite expensive for her. So she is requesting people to donate for her education on the Ketto website.

People call out the scam.
But here’s why people are criticising this particular story. The girl Muskaan is not only asking for donations on the crowdfunding site Ketto but also is asking for donations on another crowdfunding site – Milaap. She is asking people to donate Rs 23 lakhs on Ketto and Rs 25 lakh on Milaap. Not just that, some users also pointed out how she portrays to be from Chandigarh in Ketto and from Dharamshala in Milaap.
