Pinedale Roundup | Sheriff’s report – March 7

The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported 140 calls from Feb. 28 to March 6, including at least four collisions, a death, an assault, a suicidal person, a fire, 10 citizen assists, five motorist assists, a theft, 28 urinalyses and 19 vehicle identification number inspections.

Feb. 28

At 1:32 a.m., a small compact Ford was off the road and stuck in a ditch.

At 6:09 a.m., a white Silverado hit a moose.

At 6:25 a.m., a silver car was off the road.

At 7:14 a.m., a front entry burglar alarm went off.

At 8:15 a.m., a domestic dispute was reported.

At 9:21 a.m., a caller reported a medical emergency.

At 9:35 a.m., a student said the high school was in lockdown; staff was trying to help with a medical issue and didn’t want students in the hall.

At 9:36 a.m., a caller asked a deputy to check on someone’s welfare.

At 10:25 a.m., a black lab was running loose.

At 11:01 a.m., a southbound black Nissan was tailgating and passing cars in a construction zone.

At 12:59 p.m., a man with a beer got into a white Jeep Cherokee.

At 1:05 p.m., a man was yelling and jumping in and out of traffic on Pine Street.

At 1:14 p.m., a woman said her son’s vehicle was stolen in another state.

At 1:33 p.m., an alcohol offense was reported at Pinedale High School.

At 1:41 p.m., Sublette County Unified Fire reported someone hit a command vehicle.

At 1:46 p.m., a juvenile problem was reported.

At 3:40 p.m., a school resource officer reported an assault.

March 1

At 10:29 a.m., an officer reported a probation violation.

At 11:55 a.m., a Social Security fraud was reported.

At 1:55 p.m., Department of Family Services asked for a deputy’s assistance.

At 2:09 p.m., an animal control officer checked on a recent dog-bite victim.

At 3:27 p.m., the Lander Police Department asked for assistance.

At 4:06 p.m., the Sublette County Attorney’s Office provided information.

At 4:08 p.m., a caller asked about parking rules and violations.

At 4:29 p.m., a man reported a scam call from a local court.

At 5:19 p.m., a suspicious Honda was parked with windows down for several days at a turnout; it broke down and the owner was waiting for a part.

At 5:50 p.m., a woman asked about evictions.

March 2

At 6:21 a.m., a male inmate was transported.

At 7:21 a.m., Wyoming Highway Patrol reported an abandoned vehicle; it had been stuck in a ditch.

At 7:43 a.m., a greenish-brown Mustang and a white Dodge Charger were racing up and down a road.

At 9:13 a.m., trespassing was reported.

At 12:35 p.m., an injured deer was crawling in a ditch by Highway 189.

At 1:34 p.m., a businesswoman reported a fraudulent check.

At 1:45 p.m., an officer was in training.

At 3:57 p.m., a caller provided information.

At 5:10 p.m., a loose goldendoodle was found behind a store.

At 6:53 p.m., eight horses were running loose from Fremont Avenue onto Skyline.

At 10:44 a.m., smoke coming from a second-floor apartment was due to a BBQ grill’s grease catching fire.

At 1:44 p.m., a white truck passed a woman on the left as she was turning left.

At 2:23 p.m., a death was reported.

At 4:05 p.m., a dog and child got locked in a Chevy Traverse.

At 4:31 p.m., a citizen asked about a recent death.

At 4;36 p.m., a woman asked a deputy to check on someone’s welfare.

At 4:42 p.m., a domestic dispute was reported.

At 8:28 p.m., a woman reported a large fire; it was a controlled burn.

At 8:31 p.m., a woman had information for an active investigation.

At 8:59 p.m., a woman got a prank call from a local business; she said someone got her cellphone number by Googling her license plates.

March 6

At 12:06 a.m., a fire alarm went off; it was a false alarm.

At 3:40 a.m., a burglar alarm went off.

At 5:48 a.m., two black cows were by the highway.

At 6:38 a.m., a fire alarm went off that was unfounded.
