Entrust Energy Inc. will have to undergo court scrutiny to determine if it complied with its own risk policy before the electricity retailer’s bankruptcy estate can proceed with a $175 million suit against a Shell unit over canceled contracts.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Marvin Isgur said Wednesday that he plans to hold a “minitrial” later this year on the risk policy.
